Dear UIIN friend,

First of all, I would like to thank the more than 400 respondents to our survey around the conference, that have played an instrumental role in informing our decision making process. The year 2022 is a big year for us at UIIN, as it marks our 10 year anniversary as an organisation, and the 10th UIIN conference!

In light of the responses we have received, and our desire to celebrate and recognise our community over the last 10 years, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting our 2022 UIIN conference onsite on June 14-15, in our home-base Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

We believe, and your answers have shown, that being able to meet in person, share knowledge and insights, and network with colleagues across the world is what makes the UIIN conference special, and we look forward to having this opportunity again. Naturally, we take the COVID situation seriously, and we will closely monitor progressions, and ensure full safety measures during the conference.

The

**Call for Abstract**s and Proposals is now open, and you can submit your proposals

**until January 17th**, 2022. This year we welcome research-based abstracts in any of the sub-themes, institutional and initiative-based good practice case studies, poster presentations and workshop proposals.

To celebrate and recognise our community and the great contributions you make to advancing the field of university-industry interaction, all submissions will be automatically nominated for a range of Awards during the 2022 conference. Research-based abstracts will qualify for the

**Outstanding Research**Award, and submissions made for the institutional good practice case studies will be eligible for the

**Entrepreneurial and Innovative University** and the

**Partnering University** awards. On an initiative-level we will be awarding excellence in

**Innovative and Entrepreneurial Education**,

**Supporting External Engagement**,

**Entrepreneurship and Valorisation**, and

**Measuring External Engagement**.
