This is a story that hopefully not too many have to relate to.  It is about a Brown Recluse spider bite. 

 

I am sure most have heard of a Brown Recluse spider and the damage it can cause. 

 

It is a serious issue and always needs to be taken seriously. 

 

Well, this story is about a friend who not only got bit by a Brown Recluse once, but twice in 2 days. 

 

On the same foot. 

 

Yeh, apparently it was hiding in the flip flops he uses to take his dog outside. 

 

After the first bite he just assumed he got bit by a spider and his foot swelled a little and was sore.  Then after day 2 when he knew he got bit by a spider (saw it and killed it this time) his foot really swelled up.

 

He couldn't even walk on it because the pain was so intense. 

 

On day 3 he had a doctor friend come by his house to check it out because he couldn't drive since it was his right foot.   She advised he continue elevating it, icing and working on getting the inflammation out of the foot.   Also, to check for certain discolorations that would indicate it was getting worse.

 

If you haven't caught on that these types of bites are serious people have lost chunks of their feet because the tissue dies and they don't take action fast enough.
