Hi Grzegorz,

We read this article on rapport based solutions for success & retention and thought you might find it useful.

How teaching with rapport can improve online student success and retention: Data from two empirical studies

Abstract:

Higher education in the United States has reached an online retention crisis. Online students fail

and drop out at rates far higher than face-to-face students. As a result, colleges and universities

who view online education as shoring up flailing enrollment may be maintaining steady or only

slightly decreasing enrollments, but this situation is not sustainable. We present quantitative and

qualitative data from two empirical studies at both the college level and university level, which

demonstrate that online faculty who establish rapport with their students are more likely to retain

those students. We propose rapport-building as a simple and efficient response to the online

retention crisis and present specific rapport-improving activities that can be easily implemented

in online classes.

Analytics only matter if you analyze what matters. You can give your stakeholders access to all the analytics in the world, but if they’re not the analytics your stakeholders actually need or they don’t see the value in using Learning Analytics at all, that data’s not going to do anyone much good. So how do you make sure your organization keeps its focus on providing high-value analysis in partnership with your stakeholders?
